NONSUCH "Ketch" 1650
NONSUCH, 1650 Ketch

NONSUCH was the ketch that sailed in the Hudson Bay, in 1668 thru 1669 under Zacharia Gillam, in the first trading voyage of what was to become the Hudson's Bay Company 2 years later. A ketch is a two-masted, fore-and-aft-rigged sailboat with a mizzenmast stepped forward of the rudder and smaller than the foremast.
